Hidden Gems
High ratings, low popularity — films the mainstream missed.
Highly rated. Barely watched. Absolutely worth finding.
A “hidden gem” in our index is a film that meets three rules: a strong rating (usually 7.0+ on IMDb), a credible but modest vote count (enough to trust the score, not enough to be a household name), and no franchise-scale marketing behind it. What you get is the opposite of the Netflix top 10 — films that never had a billboard on Sunset Boulevard.
Filter by genre, year range, language, and minimum rating. The language filter is where this page earns its keep: flip from English to Korean, Japanese, Spanish, or Hindi and a completely different roster surfaces. Some of the best hidden gems on the site are Korean thrillers from the 2010s, Spanish genre films, and Indian indies that never cleared the subtitle barrier.
Each entry links to similar films, so finding one you like usually snowballs into four more. If you want a specific mood — mind-bending, scary, emotional, dark — try mood browsing alongside this filter. Same idea for TV: Hidden Gem TV Shows.
