The Story, Era by Era
The main timeline, cut at the moments fans use as before-and-after markers. Score each era 1–10.
Phase One — The Assembling
2008–2012Six origin gambles that shouldn't have worked: a cave, a hammer, a super-soldier — and the first time they all stood in a circle.
The camera circles the six of them in the ruins of New York — the shot the whole gamble was for (The Avengers, 2012).
Phase Two — Cracks in the Armor
2013–2015Tony's panic attacks, Hydra inside SHIELD, a talking raccoon, and the robot that dreamed of extinction.
Steve realizes the elevator is full of Hydra — and asks if anyone wants to get out (The Winter Soldier, 2014).
Phase Three — Civil War to Ragnarok
2016–2017The family breaks at an airport in Leipzig, a kid from Queens shows up, Wakanda opens its borders, and Thor finds the fun.
The airport erupts — hero against hero, and a giant nobody saw coming (Civil War, 2016).
The Endgame Era
2018–2019The snap, the silence after it, and the three-hour goodbye — the climax eleven years of movies were building toward.

2021–2022Grief, variants, and new faces everywhere: the era fans call ambitious, overstuffed, or both.
Three Spider-Men point at each other for real this time (No Way Home, 2021).
